Responsibilities
Kristin Mueller is Chief Operating Officer for JLL's Retail group. She is responsible for executing the firm’s services platform, ensuring consistency in standards across the firm’s shopping center portfolio as well as driving results and efficiencies across the business. She also leads the business development team and has overall responsibility for seeking new clients and property types, new assignments with existing clients and new lines of business.

Additionally, Ms.
Mueller oversees the Client Accounting, Property Management and Specialty
Leasing departments. Her primary focus is working directly with clients
and Retail’s client service teams to ensure an understanding of investment
objectives, sourcing acquisitions, developing growth strategies and meeting
service needs.
Experience
Ms. Mueller has more than 25 years of experience in the retail industry, with particular expertise in managing diverse property types across the United States for third-party clients that include lenders, special servicers, developers, institutional investors and private owners of retail and mixed-use properties. Third-party management requires a tailored approach to each distinct property, and she works with the clients to customize JLL’s services to meet their specific needs.

In her broad range of
management roles, she has been responsible for retail property in the
Southwest, Northwest, Central, Northeast and Southeast Regions of the U.S.,
including Puerto Rico. Her experience with diverse geographic markets,
property and client types allows her to successfully apply numerous management
strategies to a variety of challenges.
Prior to joining JLL,
Ms. Mueller was associated with Urban Shopping Centers, Inc., where she held a
variety of positions including General Manager of shopping centers in
Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., South Carolina, Florida and California.
Education and Affiliations
Ms. Mueller is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where she earned a bachelor of business administration degree in finance with a concentration in international business.

Ms. Mueller received
her Senior Certified Shopping Center Manager (SCSM) designation from the
International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). She is an International
Director for JLL, a member of JLL’s Retail Executive Committee, and a past
recipient of the JLL Club and Top Gun awards.
Additionally, she is a member of the Urban
Land Institute’s Commercial & Retail Development Council-Silver Flight and
serves on the ICSC Foundation’s Board of Directors.
